Children of the Upper Elementary class performed their play, "The Gunpowder Plot", before a live audience including special guest Alok Sharma (Member of Parliament for Reading West). The play explores the history of the Guy Fawkes Conspiracy to murder King James in 1605 and touches on the persecution of Catholics that followed.
An Upper Elementary pupil has been composing his own songs expressing love for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). As pupils joined a local mosque for the Friday prayer the imam surprised us all by inviting him to sing his song live before the entire congregation before the sermon. Here he is singing with a friend and fellow vocalist from his class.
